SANS 20345:2023 — South Africa’s Compulsory Safety Footwear Standard
SANS 20345:2023 specifies requirements for safety footwear protecting against workplace hazards. Compliance is compulsory under the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications Act (Act 5 of 2008) — not optional.
NRCS Type Approval confirms the Rambler Shark has been independently tested by an accredited laboratory and approved by the NRCS. It is legally recognised PPE footwear for COID, COIDA, and site-level PPE policies.
SB category means: 200J impact resistance steel toe cap, 15kN compression resistance, and slip resistance testing — the compulsory baseline for most South African occupational footwear requirements.
